Byte Night

This year ITC Global Security took part in Byte Night, which is the IT industry’s annual sleep out in aid of Action for Children. We have recently become members of TheKnowList who introduced us to the great work that Byte Night do for Action for Children. There were 15 of us from ITC that took part, alongside hundreds of other people from many companies from various technology businesses. We slept rough on the cold and very wet streets of London to raise awareness of youth homelessness all over the country. This is a huge worry for many youths, but Action for Children seeks to support and speak out for the most vulnerable and neglected children across the nation. They are currently supporting 50,000 children and young people living in the UK through 480 projects. The evening was definitely a challenge! On Friday 5th October, with temperatures as low as 2 degrees and what felt like a monsoon of rain, we made it through the night in great spirit.

We had ITC onesies that were made specifically for us – we definitely looked the part! Despite the weather we battled on for most of the night until around 4am. It was an experience we are all going to remember and are glad to help children that have to go through this every day. We managed to raise £7200 so we want to say thank you to everybody who took part, sponsored us and supported us. The page is still open for donations so please sponsor here if you feel like you’ve missed the chance to: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/ITCGlobalSecurityByteNight

Just so you can see us in our onesies we have included a selection of photographs for you to see us in action!
